Important Drivers Meeting News & Updates

Attention drivers: news and updates following the recent drivers meeting are now available. See the details below for all divisions:

Late Models

  • They do not want to scale in when they arrive
    • They must go to tech when they arrive
  • Options for Delaware restart or double file
    • Vote won for Delaware restart (heat and features)
    • Pace truck will be out first to lead
  • Drivers are looking for consistency in calls during race
  • Laps 20
  • Spinner/Spinnee rule
  • Points Fund for 2025
    • Top 10 will get a payout
    • Drivers said that if they are showing up 75-80% of the time to race, they should at least get their registration money back
    • Drivers suggested advertising the points fund and taking $1.00 for every pit entry to go towards the points fund
  • Possibly having a concrete pad in the future to park – $350.00
  • There will be washrooms and food in the pit
  • Sprint Cars will park at the back, and no one will lose their parking spot when they come
  • Wondering why they have 6 nights off

It’s race day at Buxton Speedway,

Attention Enduro Drivers – Teams! Buxton Speedway will be hosting a “Buxton Blizzard” Enduro race February 22nd Saturday!

Pit Gates open at: 12:00pm.

Admission Gates open at: 12:30pm.

Green Flag Drops at: 2:00pm

$100 per car for entry. (Includes 1 pit pass + Number plate.)

Condolences: Brad Bloomfield

Buxton Speedway would like to send our deepest condolences to the Family & Friends of one of our own, Brad Bloomfield.

Our Thoughts & Prayers are with You all during this difficult time.

Brad will be sadly missed by the racing community at Buxton Speedway.

New Website Launched

Buxton Speedway is pleased to release its new website which has been in the works since last season. The redevelopment of the site was completed by Checkered Flag Media with images provided by Dupuis Media Productions.

The website was designed especially to showcase information needed by new fans making their first-ever trip to the track. It will also have the most current news for the track, results, points, rule books, and also includes the return of the Historic Champions List.

Fans and drivers are encouraged to check back often for updates, including the publication of the schedule and rulebooks, as the season approaches.

Banquet Info

Buxton Speedway’s first annual banquet will be held on Saturday, January 25th at 150 Aberdeen Street Merlin Community Hall.

The banquet will start at 7:00pm until 11:00pm.

$50 a ticket

The banquet is semi formal.

There will be dinner, music & the award ceremony.

The banquet is family friendly, however please remember there is limited seating at the Merlin hall.

(We will possibly have alcohol available. We’re working on the rest of the detail’s now. If we are able to serve alcohol we will be providing 1 Free drink ticket with the purchase of the banquet ticket. )

Buxton Blizzard February Enduro

Buxton Speedway is looking to schedule a “Buxton Blizzard” 75-100 lap enduro race, We would like to plan it for February.  See below for more information and how to register your interest in the event.

Register your interest to receive updates on the event as it approaches and to help us to see the level of interest in the racing community.

Proposed Payout:

$2500 to Win. 

$1000 spread throughout the field.

Rules: 

The Enduro racing format will be the same as Merrittville’s rules package which can be  viewed here. 

Entry:
$100 entry per car, includes 1 Pit Pass and number plate.

Proposed Spectator Admission Prices:

Adult General Admission: $15

Senior-Youth General Admission: $10

Additional pit admissions: $35
